79-84 Rocker Doesnt Fit 85+ Models!

I just wanted you all to know that my driver side rocker panel is rusted out and they don’t make a patch/repair panel for it. So I found one from JCWhitney for the 79-84 and found out it's not a direct fitment. I believe I can use a hammer and dolly and straighten out a bend in it that isn’t in the 85+ models and do some trimming on it to get it to fit. However why does no one make on for these model trucks if they make the more complex panel for the older model? I will take progress pics of what I do in case someone else runs into this problem....

I know what my model is, I was just saying I was hoping that the bends was all the same but maybe the ends where the cab rolls up around the door frame would be the difference.... But Its better than what I have and thats a completly rusted out rocker
