will 15" wheels fit on a f/s chevy?

I have a 1995 chevy tahoe 1/2 ton 4x4...just wondering if anyone knows whether I can fit 15" wheels on it? It comes stock with 16's, not sure if these are nessesary for the brake size...thanx.
