I want everyone who is selling their trucks/or cars on the internet to beware!! If you receive an email from anyone who seems to be from overseas, and speaks little english or terrible english (well types that way anyways), and wants to buy your vehicle for sale, BEWARE!!

This is the original emails I got from this person:

Heres the second email:

Friday March 4th 2005

Hello,
Thank fore the mail.I am okay with the price and i would issue a
cheque of $6,350.00 to you after you might have sent the following
informations:
YOUR NAME IN FULL-----------------

ADDRESS IN FULL------------------

CELL,HOME AND OFFICE PHONE NUMBER-----------------

This cheque is for you to deduct your money and send the excess funds
to the shipping company who would come and pick the 1996 Isuzu Hombre
up from your location to my location.

If you are okay wih this arrangement send the required informations
asap.

Thanks and God bless,

Regards.

Her new email address is: "annie david"

Well, she constantly deterred away from questions I asked such as "what is your telephone number so I may contact you?" or "Where are you and your client from" and so on.

I finally received the check today. It was from Nigeria!!!!

heres the address on the envelope:

Pastor Kingsley Smitts
285 Maryland Avenue
Lagos, 23401

(yes, they put pastor on there, maybe trying to convince people they are honest, but what would a pastor need with a bagged/bodydropped mini truck???LOL)

The cashiers check was from "John Nelson" and came from "First National Bank of Florida"

I contacted that bank, and they said they have received literally HUNDEREDS of these bad checks coming in from Nigeria, and of course, mine was a fake as well. So if you get any type of these emails while selling a vehicle, BEWARE!!! They will also offer to send you extra money for "shipping", which actually goes to their pockets, and by the time that check comes back bad, you
have already sent them the extra money back, and they have your vehicle.

It seems the majority of the emails come to sellers using Mautofied.com. There is more info on their forums, and also on streetsourcemag.com's forums.

Just a heads up guys, I almost fell for it until I heard about other people getting screwed over by them.
