front wheelwell ?

i have a 96 sonoma with the 4.3 v6, my question is, can i unbolt and pull the inner metal fenders in front without havin to remount all the shit like the computer? i guess im askin if the computer and everything is mounted directly onto the metal wheel wells, or if its secured some other way? i only need about another half inch or so to clear my new wheels and i would like to not have to move all the junk thats in there with the 4.3.
