I'm finally getting the electrical shit goin on my truck and i've got a question about my fuse. I'm going to have a 0 guage wire ran to run everything that i'm installing (the truck will be on it's own system still) this wire will be for my stereo, TV, Lights, etc.... and i'm wondering what's the point of having the fuse as close to the batt. as possible? would it be all right if i ran the line into the firewall and then put my fuse right there? i'm trying to aviod anymore shit in my engine bay. So what is the true downside to haveing a foot or 2 between the batt. and the fuse?
