this is for my nissan, but figured id ask here.. my dimmer switch and hazard switches are broke.. well i was wondering if i can just buy some switches form autozone and wire up that shit myself.. i dont need my dash lights to dim and bright, one brightness is good for me.. what do u guys think?? i cant see how fast im going in the night cuz no dash lights lol

Not a electrical specialist, but you might need resistors or a relay if the power going to the dimmer is too much for the switch you're buying. Maybe ask this question on a 12volt forum?

you could try a rocker switch,idk if it will work or not but I would think so,the dimmer switch I would say just regulates the voltage up and down,if you splice a rocker switch in there the rocker switch SHOULD send full power to the the bulbs making it the brightest all the time,may be wrong though,try and see!.I would say the hazard switch shouldn't be a problem.just be sure to fuse them,and pref. from an ignition based source,that way you don't kill your battery leaving something on.best bet would be ebay,or junk yard if you want the factory part,or autozone/advanced/napa should be able to get them new if you decide to go that route.

dimmer switch is 108 $$$ lol eff that shit.. yeah im gonna do a rocker and run it to the ignition wire.. might just do same thing with headlights/running lights.. i donno.. lol
