im not completely sure he has a write up at his house where they guy layed frame with out zing the frame i trust him he has bagged a good bit of trucks including hit dd. dont get me wrong i trust everything that u guys are telling me and the ones that i looked at the builds was a sweet job but the only reason i made the post is because i was told that the truck didnt have to be zed the i heard on custom tacos it did so i post this then i was talking to my boy that going to be doing it he said u dont have to just change a few things. by the way he is my buddy truck the first truck that he ever took under the knife.
I guess you could lay frame like that, but it may just be the back of it, and you could consider the front crossmember a "frame", so sure, I guess you could.
well when i get rdy to bag it from what i have read the tranny cross member gets it the way too preventing the yota from laying frame some im going to be buying a custom cross member that is flush with the frame and still allows me to have the exhaust pipe go past it with out any problems
you dont have to z the frame. some people will actually move all the suspension work up and leave the frame intact. i would leave that method up to the more experienced though. bobby from sadistic iron works did the front suspension on his toyota that way. either way weather the frame is z'd or the suspension itself is moved up, something has got to give or the front of those frame rails will never get past the lower crossmember.
