My Sub stopped working.....

I had a Jensen XS1212 sub and a Kole Audio amp. I had the amp turned just about all the way down cause it had more power than the sub can handle and I was told to just turn the amp down and I would be fine. So I had it hooked up and rode around town, turned up a pretty good ways and it actually sounded good (for a jensen) then I hit a bump and it stopped working... I still got the green light on my amp not blinkin red or anything. not shuttin off or anything. No distortion and it didnt even pop when it stopped. so I went in my closet and found a lil 6 1/2 speaker and plugged it up and it was working. so I took the sub outta the box and just wired it up as many ways as I can.... even backwards just to check connections but it did nothing.... is the sub blown or is it just fucked up and wont work anymore??
