anyone ever have to section a-arms??

I have a set of BYC lowers, and ART uppers, I've adjusted the camber on the upper as much as I can, and I still have a positive camber. I plan on taking my upper arms to work, and having one of the guys on the welding floor section them and reweld em back together...just wondering if anyone has done this or not? I was thinking of having an 1" to an 1 1/4". After this I plan on just trimming away some of the frame in the front to clear.
