tips for cutting out the rear floor of my burban

hey whats up? anyone have any tips for cuttin up the rear of burban so it clears the notch? i was leanin towards cuttin out the entire rear floors section and liftin it up 4-6" (maybe 8" if i have to). any tips suggestions or critisisms of this idea? thanks!
