different kind of 2-link question

so im running a 2-link with the normal u-bolt setup, my re-end walks alot, what im think about doing is welding tabs underneath the rear-end,and have bushings at both ends of the bar,instead of one bushing,and ubolts on the rearend side, basiclly what im trying to do is get rid of the ubolts, kinda like a 4-link but without the two bars,it sounds like it would work, but id hate to fully weld the tabs on and have alot of articulation,so if anyone has done this and it failed...drop a note
