Here's the deal, in my beater i've got an MTX 4250D amp bushin 2 Fatboy Crunch subs. (all free so don't knock it) i've had it hooked up for a while but when i got the subs off a buddy, one of them didn't work. so i got on ebay and ordered one. got it in and the wire from the hookup to the cone was "burnt" through. no biggy, just soldered it back together and everything was fine and both were pumpin good. then a week or so later i noticed i wasn't as loud, so i drop the seat backs and the new one wasn't goin, i just figured the solder came off, so i was just goin to fix it later. then just the other day the other one stop workin, i'm pissed so i rip both subs out and sure enough, both of them had the same thing as before, both had burnt wires goin from the speaker hook ups to the cones. so yesterday i started soldering them back up and it got close to time for work, so i cleaned some shit up real quick and kinda tossed shit back in the trunk. well on my way to work i kinda smelled burnt wires and i look back and the speaker wires from one of the subs were sittin on each other and i could here like a buzz noise so i reached back (while driving) and just yanked the RCAs out hoping to loose the singal and i'll deal with it when i got off. so when i got off i finished soldering the subs back up and dropped em in the box, hooked the wires up and nothing happens. the light on the amp is on and everything, there is no surge protection on it and there is no over heat protect either. only noise i can get it when i remove the speaker wire and tap them to the contact they kinda crackle the sub but they never really make any movement. so basicly i've narrowed it down to the amp but i have no idea why 2 speaker wires touchin would fuck up my amp or burn anything up? i've opened up my amp and nothing seems to be charred or nothing, doesn't seem to have broke anything, but it just don't produce any sound....
sorry for the novel but i need some help! i'm dieing without tunes in the beater...
