Preping for primer / paint

This is for the paint and primer guys. I have a 89 Honda Civic. I have took the 6 layers of paint that was on the car off. Yea 6 , 3 of them was rattle can paint. The man I bought the car from "tried" to custom the car but ended up making more work than anything. I ended up useing a 80 grit disc on a 4'' angle grinder..

My question is this. Other than the bondo in the body line that I have to clean up,and the shaving to be done, what is the process for getting the surface ready for primer ? I fell I should be sanding the entire body with a phnumatic sander. I dont know what grit to use on this. But so you know I am down to bare metal on this car. Any help with my next steps ?
