Hi,

Im running two 12V compressors for my airbag settup on a Mazda B2200...

Ive just got a quick question about the POWER wire size going to the compressors...

Is it fine to use the same size wire thats coming out of the compressor - all the way to the power source?? or better to use thicker stuff??

Like say the wire coming out of the compressor is about 3mm thick.. And Ive got TWO compressors that need power..Would it be fine to run ONE 3mm Power cable from the power source to a T-Piece, then branch off to each compressor??

Or would it be better to run a thicker cable (say 8guage) down to the compressors????? Because Power decreases over length doesn't it?? (like with Stereo's etc??? - better to use thicker wire etc...)

Next question is the power source! Which sort of effects the first question.

WHAT do you guys run as the power source?? Either direct to the Battery or just tap into the accessories power..

If its direct to the battery - ill need a simple switch to turn it on/off manually. If its to the accessories - it would come on when the car is switched on.. (preffered method).

BUT - If I hook it into the Accessories wire, that wire is only about 2mm thick.. so would that be thick enough to run down to the compressors?? Cos their would be no point running thicker if the origin wire is only 2mm thick..

Any help would be great!

Thanks!
