I just got my truck back from the shop
The tire on the rigth side is hitting the brake booster.
I was told it only needs a 1.5in to clear it.
I have heard the automatic brake booster is slighty smaller will this solve my issue?

I am running a 225/40/19 tire

Thanks
Todd

You could use a smaller tyre, maybe a 35 series.

Get a booster from a 79-83 2WD truck. They're a cunt hair under 8" diameter and everything bolts up. You will have to extend the pushrod ont he back to connect it to the stock pedal. Also, you can relocate the whole unit.

A smaller tire isnt going to give me much.

Seth whats mods need to be done to make this work?

I am trying not to relocate the booster if I dont have to.

The booster will bolt to your firewall, and it will bolt to your master cylinder. But the part that attaches to your pedal is too short. You can cut the piece off the stock booster and weld it on the new one to extend it to the proper length. Its less than an hour job.

i thought geo metro ones were a good choice due to their small size ?

They are about the same size as the 79-83 Toy boosters. They have a differnt bolt pattern than the firewall, so that needs modifying, and you need to use the Metro baster cylinder as well. More work for less braking power.

ok so the booster you're talking about work on 89-95's too? my booster is in the process of shitting out on me and if im gonna put a new one on might as well be a smaller one. my clearance issues at the moment are with my fenderwells, solution for that, get off my cheap ass and buy trailer fenders...

Yeah, it will bolt ot your firewal no porblem.
