What to use to lower rear of xblazer

I have got an '02 X Blazer and I am gona drop just the rear of the truck to make the truck set even. In the past I used blocks in the rear of my '00 S-10 Xtreme and they rode like shit. The drop I am puttin on now is just for the time being until I can't the truck ready for bags'. I have talkd to a couple of shops and they say that leaf springs is the way to go. What do yall think>?
