? about york edc's

i was wondering if this was worth it...

i got offered a remanufacturered york edc for $250 (i don't know what model but it looks like the one on ssd's site for s-10's w/4 bangers) and it's the pump, filter, v-belt clutch, & leader hose only. the brackets are no sweat, i'll build them myself, but it has no check valve, wiring, or anything. i could use my own pressure switch & oil & water seps, and the fittings are no problem either.

also, what is the pros & cons about using a stock a/c compressor from a yard?

my toy will be a daily dragger, so i really like what i've heard about edc's so let me know.

p.s. please excuse my ignorance, i've never dealt with edc's...my 2 viar 450's work fine, i was just wondering...
