So i was driving normal and I go to put on my blinker, I hear a click, and the blinkers do not work, and it also cut out my tach, clock, and temp gauge. I replaced both 10 amp fuses under hazard and the dash. they blow out again. The gauges will work just fine, as long as you dont use the turn signal. What is the problem? Where do I start? is it bad lights, relays, switches or what?

I have emergency flashers, (so all my amber bulbs appear to be OK) but, turn signals won't flash, reverse lights won't work, temp guage and gas guage are dead... Any Ideas, all the bulbs and fuses are good. what else is there?

i ended up finding a shorting wire behind my passenger side excab jump seat. Just had rubbed and shorted out, did a little fix it and no problems now.

I got one. My gas guage goes down by 1/4 to 1/2 a tank whenever I turn on my headlights in my 85 blazer. It pisses me off cos most of the time I look like I have no gas at night. Any ideas?

whats up scott i live about an hour south of you i had a kind of the same thing happin to my truck i had the bed of and when i put it back on my tailights worked but were really dim and when i would turn the lights on and hit the brakes the dash lights would go off but it was the tailights were not grounded i would make sure every thing was grounded and not rusty or pinched and like what russ-d said about the wireing harness that goes right above the driver side front wheel i rubbed mine before and belive it makes your truck do some weird shit

I'll go with russ on this one, somewhere you have 12v wire shorting to ground, every time you flip the switch the power is bypassing the circuit and blowing the fuse.

In this case a continuity check might find the problem if are checking between a power wire and ground but checking continuity through each end of the wire would just be checking for a break in the wire which wouldn't cause a blown fuse.

when your turn signals dont work the hazzerd button is bad or goin bad i replased mine about 7 years ago and its starting again. so replase the hole switch. also if someone is blowing fuses then take out the instroment cluster out and check that ther is no burn marks behined ther. my tach quit working and thats what was wrong and all i did is soder the back together.i know alo about mazdas

Hey mazbvic, I recently replaced my whole column (cuz the ignition switch went out) and my turn signals quit before the ignition switch went out, they still don't work? I have checked all the bulbs (all the amber bulbs blink when I turn on the flashers) I have checked the flasher relay (my truck only has one relay for both the signals and flashers?) no fuses are blown, I also put in a new guage cluster trying to see if the gas guage would start working (gas gauge didn't start working) and the signals still don't work?

Any Ideas???

What about this wire I'm hearing about on the passenger side jump seat??? Where exactly is that wire and how do I check it?

86 Mazda B2000 Not working: gas guage, temp guage, turn signals, backlighting on the heater levers (dash lights and dimmer work ok).
