valves grounding themselves

Ive heard that u can ground the valves to themselves? I have the GC 450s. I know that u use the two vertical plugs. 1 for power, and the other for ground. But i heard u can just run the ground to the other empty plug to ground itself out. Im tryin to eliminate some wires.
