Mixing Dupont Chromabase with primer

I have some Dupont Grey Primer/Sealer and some Red Chromabase paint...can I tint the primer with the red base? I realize that I'd have to put a decent amount in there or it would be pink.

The guy at the paint shop is old and doesn't seem to want to help me very much.
