What welder to use.

Hiim finally going to buy a welder, i have a bit of ca$h for one but dont want to spend a crap load, all i want is a MIG so i can shave handels n stuff like that so what is the minimum specs ill need for something like that, ive seen some on ebay that look alright.as i said only need to use it for shaving doors n stuff like that, my dad has a TIG/Stick lying around thats used for welding thick steel.for shaving do i need one with argon? or noti tried searching but came up with nothing thanks for any help
