I went ahead and redid the front bag setup as posted a couple weeks ago and it seemed to work out havent DRIVEN it yet do to battery location and re routining wires?
SO question is best place for battery placement ( have fourlink) running forward, triangulated and relocated gas tank right behind bridge...IDEAS HAVE optima yellow top..???AND
air filter is stock should i just spend the money for aftermarket( tight budget) complete kit or just MAF sensor adapter from ebay with cone filter??
YOUR input is appreciated THANKS AGAIN

Ok...when I had my truck in the shop getting the new motor installed me & my friend relocated the battery to the bed & we also moved the air filter off the the side out of the way. I got the intake adapter kit & a cone filter off ebay & it works great. Here is a pic of mine...its not permanent because I got some intake pipe & plan to have it painted to match the truck. Oh & as for the battery...I just got me a battery box & the biggest battery that Advance Auto Parts made for my truck cause Ive had nothing but bad luck with Optima batteries. Hope this helped.

Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done!!

yeah i thought a plastic bat box would work but was worried when i park at hospital for work they would snag it?? wanted a metal one with lock ??

you got what portion of that kit? what comes with and how did you search for it
I used to do car audio whats the deal with the bad luck on bats??

I just dont like Optima's cause they just seemed to be over priced & when they get weak/low after awhile they dont seem to work all that great even after you recharge them. Might just be me, but I like the regular batteries & you can get a metal box that locks just to protect your battery. As for the air adapter kit I got it off ebay...here is what I got.

I wasnt a big fan of the filter that came with it so I just bought me a universal one from the local parts store & sold the other one lol!

agreed i really just need that adapter and thats the one iwas thinking so i wanted some feed back on it
WAS it that specific seller?
those gel batteries if they go low they need a real slow trickle charge>>?? if im not mistaken... and ive ran optimas since i bought my first one cause the heat out here in az kills batts in two years and the prorate fees are stupid!!!yellow top are the way to go you could hang up upside down and any which way you want..

i saw on that pic your tires aint on firewall is that laid cause im running stocks 14s?? with normal tires right now that comes out one inch shy of a 18 with a 45 series tire... and the stocks are rubbed up on the back wall??
THANKS again

I cant remember what seller I got the adapter from...just make sure he/she
has a good feedback record & youll be ok. Oh...my truck isnt bagged yet & in that pic Ive got just enough of the inner fender well cut out so it wont rub so bad when I turn. All Ive got done to the front is DJM 3-inch lower control arms, reset torsion bars, fliped ball joints & drop shocks. Got any more questions then feel free to ask & Ill do my best to help. Here is another angle of the intake...
