I've got the system wired up and in the truck but every time I turn the key on it says the parking brake is hooked up improperly.

I tried hooking it to the ignition wire and the system ground to see if that would make it work. Thats what I did on my AVIC-N1 I use to have and it worked one way or the other I can't remember which.

I don't care if it works while I'm driving or not but I don't have a parking brake. So I'm kinda curious if since I don't have a parking brake at all if I am going to be able to get it to work.

I wonder if I just had a bad connection when I hooked it up but that doesn't seem very feasible.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I have the N1, and I'm re-installing it in my new truck, I have an 02 Chevy Suburban, I don't have the same problem obviously, but I can't remember what color wire going into the cruise control box I'm supposed to tap the pink wire into to get my engine speed signal.. I know somebody knows this. Help a brotha out!
