1999 ALERO DEFECT

To anyone out there who owns or knows someone who owns an Alero 99 is it true that the engine is defective and that the time chain sometimes locks up causing the engine to lock up? According to a friend of mine this might happen. Any information will be greately appreciated

none that i know of, don`t go to gaymod.com you will find nothign helful on that site
if your having trouble with your timing chain the chain it self might be worn out completely does the car start fine?? does it have run on??? take it to a mechanic
