Shaving???

I need some help with shaving my Dakota. all the emblems and stickers are off... the problem is the hood emblem is sanken into the hood, should i just fill it with some bondo and smooth it out or do i have to weld a plate in. also does anyone have a "How To" on shaving door handels and tailgate handles? any info on this will help. Thanks
