crossmember

im in the process of baggin my truck and i was wondering what people do with the crossmember that runs across the frame at the very back of the cab. because it looks like it is gonna hit when the truck is laid out

the trans member is going to hold the frame up, also the motor member will hold it from laying completely out

The one out back is usually notched on the reg cab truck(no carrier bearing) or replaced all together. Here's one we did after removing that xmember completely:

Kinda hard to see, but between the front two bed supports, there is a hoop that those curved bits of tubing go to. 1.5DOM if I remember correctly...

I'll hopefully have more pics after this coming weekend, I pulled these off of my rebuild thread. I pie cut the transmission crossmember to raise it, I wanted it to look factory. Hope this helps.
