I agree dude.. I spent like $65 on a tune up.. and it made a huge diffence in gas mileage.. I think the stuff on there was original... the exhaust helps.. but im actually hurting myself with mine.. i need to change it.. I have straight out after the cat... I welded on a piece about 18" and then a Turn down.

I haven't driven my truck enough to figure out gas mileage, but the consistancy changed a lot! And, I bet everything was original in my truck as well. The wire boots were fused to the plugs. I haven't driven my truck more than 2 miles since I bought it.

What size exhaust are you running? I have 2 1/4" all the way back. Have a high flow cat, and a Maganaflow muffler, and a Doug Thorley header. As of now, it exits right behind the cab, but it sounds damn good! It revs a lot smoother after the tune up and exhaust. I'll have full exhaust before too long, because I really, really don't want to right behind the cab.

Its stock all the way to the cat.. and then i got the 18" long pipe with the turndown
im gonna eventually run 2" all the way and do a dynomax or vortex

i've been using bosch platinum plugs and bosch wires for years in imports, never had a problem with them. ngk is good too, it's all a personal preference thing.

ngk is the shit.......i had bosh in my other import and they fouled out in like 2 months .............how r u gonna run a full exaust i want to but i think that it will get in the way of my axle when i lay it out??

I'll show you when I get there.

yea as far as NGK they are the way to go, if you look in any import magazine and see their engine mods, all they run is NGK. i talked about bosch platinum 4s that i put in my integra, i got bashed, they told me about the NGK iridium spark plugs i think it was, since i wanted to do that. i think Bosch is more for german cars like volvo and volkswagen/audi.

phatboi, better look at the price on the iridium before you decide to go with em. My celica has iridiums and they were $80 each, that was for Denso's though. Denso and NGK are the only ones that make "official" iridium plugs. If I could go witha cheaper plug I would but that is the plug available for the 2zz motor. Pretty wild looking plugs, remind me of glow plugs for diesels.
