I finally get my truck out of the Bodyshop and now it runs like SHIT.... 2000 Dakota with a 4.7, Automatic. I havent done anything to the motor or tranny. Truck starts rough, Idles rough surging from 1000 rpm to about 1800, Shifts poorly Absoultly no power. When I am driving it wont rev over 2800 and tries to die if I give it more than roughly a quarter throttle. Any Ideas?

check your air filter and mass air follow sensor, trash may have gotten on the sensor

then check your fuel pressure/change fuel filter

fuel filter and air filter were my first 2 suspicions, Checked and replaced..... As far as the mass airflow... how do I go about cleaning it.... never do that on my kota

you can't clean it, but it can be tested/it's best to take to a shop and have it put on the computer. should cost more than $36

been on a computer this afternoon, Shows a battery temp sensor..... The Local dodge house says they can fix it for no less than $600.....

I seriously doubt its the bat temp sensor but, i'd pick one up at a junk yard before getting one from Dodge. Its in the bottom of the battery tray.

I replaced the battery temp sensor allready... Only cost me $12 through my bodyshop.... I am probably going to have to take it in.... Just fishing for ideas before I decide to spend more money.... Thanks for all the help so far.... Keep em coming!!

did you have your truck shaved by chance? Cause if they didnt properly ground the welder it could have sent a pulse thru the computer and cause a major problem there.

the truck was shaved 2 years ago... All the welding done on it this time was done on the bed which was off the truck. The computer is actually pretty new, About 4 months... But it was running fine after the computer was replaced.
