cuttin out kinda?

ok i have a weird problem. when i just barely hit the gas (in park) it kind of hesitates for a minute. u can hear the motor suck in air through the intake(fip2k) and then it revs. also when im driving the tranny will shift into third and after it shifts it has like a dead spot or a jump in it. but the thing is it wont do it all the time. any help would be great sorry for the novel

sounds like a fuel filter problem with the hesitation. . .i had that same problem. . .swapped in a new fuel filter and blamo. .. the shifting sounds like a completely different issue. . .

Yeah try the fuel filter...ever put a fuel pump in it? maybe its not building a high enough constant pressure.

I was guessing it was an automatic from the info....

its an automatic tranny i replaced it a year ago. i just replaced the fuel filter like a month ago. but when i floor the truck its fine there is no spots or nothing in it. but the fuel filter might be messed up u never know with o reillys and the fuel pump has never been changed
