anybody here heard of doing this? i plan on doing a midengine conversion for my crx to make laying the front that much easier and i wont have room in the back for subs but i dont want to mount them in the kick panels

Auctally I did this in a car. There are a couple different ways to do it though. It just depends on how much room you have to work with. Focal makes five inch woofers that sound real good. You could also put a bubble in the firewall and put a larger speaker in that way also. Use your imagination.

ive never looked under the dash of a crx but in my old izuzu and my buds mazda we put a 10 under the dash firing at the floor.
just took the glove box out and everything else was gone from the body drop anyway.

blaupunkt(sp?) was at the sema and ces shows with flat subs that took only a big enuf box to enclose the sub. they didnt sound to bad either.
