hey all, i am about to chop my rear end on my s10. I need to chop it 1" on each side. I am thinking the best spot to chop it is about 1" inward from the outer flange, and then chop my 1" fromt there. Any suggestions id love to hear them???cory

if you dont have the wheels yet, just have INTRO build them with the correct offset. A 8.5 inch wheel should go on an S10 pretty easily with the correct off set. Unless of course you are trying to go with a deep lip look on the rear wheels. Does seem like an awful lot of work for an inch, but an inch can be the differnce from tucking or not if you want a specific look for a wheel. So have at it if you need to, just make sure that the part you shorten is absolutely straight . You dont want to be having wheel bearing issues down the road.

its a lot more than just cutting it down an inch off each side..but yes u start from the outside and cut an inch off for the housing..u will hoever have to have custom axles made...too much money for 1"

the way you say "chop" makes it sound so easy, what are you gonna do about the axles?? this stuff needs to be precise, i know here in the US you can have the axles cut down and the rear end narrowed for less than $300. i had to have new axles and my price was still only $380. id find someone to do it for ya thats done it alot.

but a normal shop starts like 3-5" from the flange and sections out the portion.

hey all, i am going to get a local race shop to make me some custom prostreet axles. They used to cut and respline axles, but they got out of it. I will cut the axle tube down using an accurate chop saw. I know its gotta be dead balls. Just the 3.5" BD with the 22's hit the inside of the top of the bed, and scuffing the rim and tire. So 1" is a huge deal. I already have the wheels, and the frame aint all new, so i gotta go no more than an inch. It sound like a lot, but its the way its gotta be. Also chris, i have pics from canadian truck nats, i just cant get them on streetsource because of thier size. I have to scale them down but i dont have photshop
