Shipping wheels

I Got a question, I havent shipped wheels any where before, Im in north carolina and i need to send them to missouri. what is the best place to send them through and from experience how much does it cost? questimate. also how do you guys pack them for the people delivering them, thanks need to know asap, thanks for any and all help

i have shipped wheels before through the post office. i had to divide the set of 4 wheels up into 2 seperate boxes since the PO has a 70 pound limit on what they will ship. I cant remeber exactly but it was around $35 per pair to ship but they stayed here on the east coast. To protect them during shipping I had 2 old moving blankets that i cut up and wrapped around the faces of the wheels.

I prefer to use UPS for the bigger stuff though. My nearest UPS shipping location is about 30 minutes away so i usualyl just schedule a pick up at my house and its only about $3 or $4 more expensive to have them actually come to you and pick it up.

I would reccommend boxing 2 wheels togehter, then slap your package on a bathroom scale, and then get your lenghtxwidthxheight measurements, and you can caluclate the shipping costs on UPS.com

still working on the truck. my stepmother got real sick a couple months ago and since then she has had to have somebody with her constantly. So my dad and i have been taking care of her and between work and the family thing i havent had much time to play in my garage. She has a week and a half left on her cancer treatments (suposedly) and after that a recovery process to get her strength back. Its been real rough lately she has been in and out of the hospital at least 7 times in these past couple months and even on life support for some of it. But things are looking better. I think the show season for this year is shot for me. I will be back in '06 though.
