I'm getting Alcantara suede inserts for the seats in my 330i and would like my headliner to match, how difficult would this be? I know suede doesn't wrap like leather, but is the contour gradual enough to not be a problem? Also, will the sunroof be a problem, will it make it easier, or will the lack of material needed and the necessary cutting cancel each other out?

i just did my headliner in suede
and no i couldnt get it to stretch much if at all lol not easy to work with but im not an expert or upholsterer
ask your local upholstery shop how much
i priced mine and it was $35-$75 depending on the shop for just labor....
i had my sunvisors done for $35-labor because i would spend more than that in suede trying to do(and redo) it myself lol
also had my door panel inserts done by a pro
havent got them back yet but i think its going to be $75-$150 because a dodge ram has some wicked curves in the insert

the headliner was fairly easy as far as your sun roof and etc. goes
i had to cut mine for the overhead console and lights started with an center hole and basically pie cut the suede to keep it from wrinkling and etc. going around the curves of the opening... you might look at it and decide if you want to do it yourself or send it to a pro...just ask yourself is it worth it when i have to buy another couple of yard to do it again...
