auto tranny probs.

ok so when i start off down the road i have a HARD shift from 1 to 2 and right after the shift the truck feels like its gonna stall out. it also feels like its missing at like 60mph. my second question it can i take an auto tranny from an 89-95 22re will it fit onto mine(84-88 22r)?

check your fuel filter

i agree w/ both of those replies...it will bolt up, and check your fuel filter, sounds like its clogged

Fuel filter won't cause a hard shift 1-2nd Check your trans filter
I would flush the trans and then out a filter kit in it.
How long ago was the fluid changed? If it is real burnt it wont shift right cause the line pressure wont be enough
But check your fuel filter as well should be changed every 15k miles

when he was talking about the stalling feeling after he gunned it that sounded like the fuel filter, other than that..yea tranny
