ok guys i'm gettin a 65 ford galaxie with a 352 in it..been sittin since 79..how should i go about doin the motor..i'm gonna pull it and tear it apart, should i have it machined? if i do machine it, will a rebuild kit from the parts store be what i need..i'm not doing this myself, but i am unsure as to what direction i need to head..also any1 know the stock hp for these motors? and now to performance..i am not lookin to build a badass motor, just a cam, new intake manifold, carb, and headers..where can i find this stuff for this particular motor? thanks in advance..

id send it out to get machined, also do you mean 351??? also you need to make sure the heads have the correct valve guides to run un leaded fuel, id look threw fast fords mag. or some ford furums for a good combination of parts that will work well for what you want... and find good prices also threw them channels good luck

I've got a 460 you can put in it for a horsepower upgrade.

have the motor sent out for the rebuild. they'll probobly boil it, deck the heads and block, turn the crank, new rings, and put in the correct seals for at least 87 unleaded for you. they may give you new heads all together (although your motor is more rare than most), depending on the price of the rebuild kit, you should be able to get it done for around 1,800 with the machine work if neccessary. (round about price if you pull the old one, seperate the trans and re-install it yourself)
