hey i didnt get a chance to do this on my old 69 but now that i have a line on another one i have been thinking about what to do with my drip rails. i dont want to just shave em because too many people do and i dont want to leave them stock because even more people do. i was thinking about molding them. has anyone seen this done? what would be used, would lead do the job? thanks

its surprisingly difficult to find pictures of drip rails but they are the "gutters" that run around doors to guide water down the side instead of letting it run down along the weatherstripping and possibly inside the car or truck

molding the drip rails like on the top and leaving the bottom side hanging out like a lip????
seems like it would look like those ventshades/ vent visors lol
people shave them
because it looks better

lol its not as far out as those visors though and i want something different. i saw it done on a 52 chevy with lead and it looked DAMN good...especially with flat black paint

I wouldnt use lead id cut a small strip and weld it inside there then apply filler if needed but keep it to a minimal which u will if done right. But molding them really isnt going to be worth your time becuase there going to loose there purpose. Plus it might look like it wasnt ment to be there after u mold it cause it will just stick out. Just my two
