adjoining states usually share information on upaids. And bigger states share with more.
Call the prosecutor, explain you are from way out if state and explain it would not be likely you could drive all the way back. Usually they have a diversion system where you double (or triple) the fine and pay court costs, and you plea to a lesser, non moving charge.
Whatever you do, make sure you take care of it. If they say come, then go. Because the last thing you want is to be yanked out of the car in front of your kids on a family trip 15 years from now because of an unpaid. Regardless of what people tell you, there is no staute of limitations on a citation if you have not voluntarily entered a plea.
And 25 over is a mandatory reckless in most states. Slow down!
