Hey guys, ive heard alot about lowering the motor and tranny but id like to know more. On mine the tranny is like 1/2'' from the ground and the oilpan is 1/2'' away from the front crossmember. I know people section the sump of the oilpan but that wont help me any here. Im not worried about the motor clearing the hood, i just dont want to cut up the floor for the tranny.

So you dont care about a stock hood? You just want to stock floor the truck and not touch the tranny tunnel? I say good luck. I doubt it can be done. You could lower everything a 1/2" I guess. I built a low profile tranny tunnel on my truck, I lowered it about 3/4" but that will still only gain you 1 1/4" from where it is now.

stop being dumb, you may as well incab the truck if you dont want to fuck with the tranny tunnel much but that still has to be done a bit. build a rolled steel one and blaze it in, will loo great, big tranny tunnels are the shit.

my motor is dropped 1" and my tranny mount is lowered and i still had to raise my tunnel pretty good. i moved my tunnel up 2" and i have plenty of room for it all to shake, how big of a sfbd are u doing?

the truck looked to be body dropped in the pictures you posted....how was it done? im sure they used the same high tech engineering to do that.lol so it will probably have to be redone. did they do a traditional on it or stock floor? if they did it traditional and your going to put the floor back to stock your going to have to cut into the pan one way or another just move the tunnel then.

The truck is channeled now and its not staying that way. I got another stock cab going on it and i was just wondering if there was a way around all the work that i didnt know about. Ive just heard on more than 1 occasion about people lowering motors 2'' and just didnt see how.
Whatever it takes i can do, hell i built this...
