engine driven comp

i just put in my Airlift engine driven compressor the brackets where for a s10 v6 i have a fullsize v6 my comp. is mounted next to my alternator and now my air intake wont go back in place(its a stock air intake) i know i still need my mass air flow sensor so i dont want to not have it would a cold air intake work or do i have to make one.
