getting cab off...help

is there a easy way to get ur cab off (s10)...with limited help from friends??

wanna get my cab off asap but cant get ahold of a few people all at the same time

can u use a cherry picker somehow? or ?

I used a large engine hoist and went to Lowes and bought a couple or the big yellow straps. I think they are about 3" wide. Look at my mazda in my profile and you will see the cab standing on its back in my garage with the straps still on it. I set it off one evening after work with no trouble by myself.

I used 2 floor jacks and a bunch of blocks and just jacked up each side until it was high enough and rolled the frame out from under it. Now I have a hoist so I use that.

i usually just bench press the cab and push the frame out with my feet.

if you got a big enough garage with strong rafters you can hook the big yellow straps over them and hoist it up. we got big steel beems for rafters in our shop and it's been done before in there, my buddy did it by himself one day without the rest of us there. pretty easy

rafters are covered ...that was my 1st idea

i did mine with 2 other people and just walked it over a few feet

just makr sure if you do the strap method to put the straps inside the door, thatll keep you from messin up your door hinges and body line
