c10 frame Z question

i z'd my 78 4" and i have this problem with my shift linkage, it twists because it is not at the height of the transmission anymore, so what does everyone tht z's there c10s do? i cannot finish the driver side of the frame until i know this, any help is apreciated, thanks!!

You done did it now you only needed to go 3" man your, Just kidding... fab one up,its not that hard.

either make you one or put a floor shifter in it
