keeping ac on a bd ranger

My truck is getting bd and i wanna keep the ac i know i can get a vintage ac unit. But there was some guy talking about he put his in his glove box how would that work the glove box isnt big enough. If im missing something here fill me in

you could possibly adapt an import trucks underdash a/c components. i know most import trucks have the blower assemblies under the dash. you still need the engine driven compressor and lines.
