starting problem on 98 fullsize chevy

about 2 months ago i had my spark plugs and distibutor and rotor changed at Firestone. Then my power steering supply hose had a nick in it. When i R2D the hose i accidently disconnect a fuel line that goes to a cylinder in the front of my engine bay. Reconnected it and no problem. Well about 3 days after that, i was driving and all of a sudden my truck shut off and my battery light popped up. I could get it to restart after about 9 tries and it happened again all night. I changed out my airfilter and everything started going good. Well about a week later it did it again. ANd now it wont start. The truck did sit for about a year while i was in korea. NOW all it does is turn over constantly and never starts. Can anyone lead me in the right direction. thanks

by the way, i had a line that looks like its missing from some device or sensor. IF someone knows where i can go to get a diagram of the fuel system....AND its a 305 v8 5.0

Did u check the wires goin to the distibuter? Also the computer maybe messed up from havin stuff unpluged an pluged back in. It could not be reading right. This happened on 1 of my trucks. I took the negative bat. cable off for a minute or 2 to let the comp reset itself an put it back on. After that it ran fine. Good luck hope u get it fixed! sorry 4 th novel.

this might sound crazy but where im from (AR) there was a lot of people having problems with those trucks, it was the fuel pump. there was one guy that replaced his fuel pump 11 times in one year. and those fuel pumps are not cheap. he even biult a hinged door in the bottom of the bed to make it easier to replace. that is what ur problem sounds like. when you get in it and turn the key on can you hear the pump prime up? if so this is not the case

IS IT TURNING OVER AND NOT STARTING B/C MY FULL SIZE WAS DOING THAT AND IT SIT FOR 2 MONTHS AND I BOUGHT EVRYTHING I COULD POSSIBLY THINK OF TO FIX AND IT WOUND UP BEING THE DISTIBUTOR PICK UP COIL
