ok, i just bought my truck about a week ago and i oiled the belt driven compressor like the guy told me to but now im havin problems, the other night when i had my truck running, i hit the switch to turn my compressor on and it started squealin really bad so i jumped out to take a look at it and the belt had stopped spinning, now i dont know what to do to fix it because i dont know whats made it stop in the first place, the guy said it cant be major because the compressor is decently new(air ride is what he told me)...so if anybody can help a guy out, id really appreciate it...

That bitch is locked up....Sorry man. When you get a new comp run a 50/50 mix of lucas and 30 wt and you'll be fine. Ive heard of new yorks lockin up within 10 mins of first turning them on

look i have had a compressor lock up within 5 min of runnin but i did it right also i used mobil 1 syn. with lucas syn... i used this in all my clubs compressors and it works great.. u need to take the bolt out of the side of the compressor and when you put the lines back on put a lil in suction port and discharge port.
