im trying to figure out how to wire...in a aftermarket tach! it has a power,ground,green an white wire...obviously i know where the red an black go but what bout the white an green?! i hooked it up like they said on s10forum.com an it didnt work. so any help is aprreciated. o an its a 98 2.2 5 speed

one is prob for lighting and the other goes to the neg side of the coil, not sure which would be which though, what brand/model do you have?

How did u wire the green and the white wires?

white wire is the illumination. tie into dash lights.

green wire goes to neg terminal of the coil under the hood

the tach wire is on the coil pack its a white wire. be careful and get the right the one cause there is 2 of them one will make the tach work the other will take out your coil pack....

i didnt hook up the white one cuz i figured it was some kind of power or illumination an i know the green is the tach signal but i dk where to hook it up...a guy on s10forum said hook it up the the #3 wire which is tan on the grey side plug on the back of the gauge cluster. i did an it didnt even show a idle! where fo i hook the green to!?
