compressor help

I'm running two compressor to my tank, but one of them cut on for 1 sec and stay off from 4-10 seconds. It started doing it in my brother's car but one day it fixed it self and kept running. Now they are in my car and it take a very long time to fill my tank, is there a switch in it thats messed up?

I'm sayin I think it mite be a short in it, but sometimes it stay on for 3 and sometime 4 sec.

soudns like to me ur comrpessor burnt a brush or is fixin to lock up. what kind u got?

That the thing I don't even know what it is or the other one, I just know it black and it's fucking with me. I took it apart yesterday and the brush look like shit so is there anything I can do to fix it. Thanks for the help now I got a second opinoin on the brush thought.
