putting hydros in a ranger we got the front to pump but wont lift and the solinoids in the rear just chatter and dont do anything pump spins but not that fast any help would be appriciated thanx

if the solenoid is clicking, then you may not have enough power going through them, it would also exlpain a slow motor (how many batteries are you running)

A good way to test the pump is to bypass the solenoid altogather, just to check the pump.

if the pump spins but nothing lifts, you might have a dump valve stuck open.

hope this helps

It could be a broken pump key also... Along with a dump stuck open. And oil level would cause it to do that too.

we bypassed the solinoids and the pumps work the dumps are working also but the solinoids still chatter how would i test the solinoids to see if they are still good and can that actually be the problem

I don't know how you could test them... A test light might work. How did you wire the solenoids?

To test them you need a volt meter. Hit the switch and check each side for power.

solenoids are cheep, go buy a new one and try it out.
