Running rough

I just put a 22r in with very few miles on a re-build after i start it up and it runs a while it loads up and starts running real rough and blowing black smoke. After I drive it a while it cleans out and runs good. Anybody know what could cause this? Any input would be appreciated. I have changed plugs and wires and I am going to put a new cap and rotor on today.

sounds like you need a new carb

Yeah if its black smoke, its most likely fuel related, sounds like it is running real rich on start up.

might want to check the carb float bowl level make sure its not set to high that will cause it to load up
