the problem is not exacltly with your spindle like if it were defective...its the fact that the spindle rod itself is now 2" higher, but the eyelet for the tie rod balljoint has to stay in the same location for the suspension geometry to stay correct. now that the actual wheel has been moved up two inches, there will be some clearance problems
i had the same problem with my first set of wheels which were 17x8. they rubbbed like crazy. i eventually went bigger to an 18x7.5 and was damn close.
