I wanted to see what you guys think. I can get my stock ram buckets recovered in black tweed and have the foam repaired for 550ish. Ive been calling around and getting prices so thats one of my options. My other option is to get a set of seats from some other vehicle like a saab or something like that. and put them in but that will cost me the price of recovering and the price of the seat itself. My third option is to get some ricky racer seats and put those in(but this isnt very high on my list). What would you do?

550 seems resonable, all depends on how good it comes out. i had a set done fo rmy truck in vynal by a top notch shop for 1000 bux, and they came out like shit. I found a another sho pwho did em for 350 and did my dash and door panels headliner, for an extra 100, and they came out great, only thing was he couldnt speak english. In another project i used 325i bmer seats that come stock in leather, they are high quality and have removable headrests. plus tons of adjustments, you can higher and lower the seat ect. its up to u 550 sounds good though.

all the guy was going to do was to replicate the stock design. I might go and chalk out some flames for the back of the seat so he can make them a little different.

That quote definetly seems reasonable, especially with the foam repair you mentioned. Figure a couple hours of labor per seat plus the material. As long as they do good work it sounds fair to me.
